Welcomed a good one hundred and thirty art patrons and guests on the opening evening.
The Prosecco, Wine and refreshments were on flow kindly sponsored by Merivale group.
The caramelised tarts, Vietnamese rolls and chicken and walnut sandwiches were followed by personalised cupcakes leaving even the biggest foodies wanting more.
From the Art Scene, Fashion Scene and Interior scene, all the art admirers were in attendance. With an eclectic group of faces and personalities everyone enjoyed the inspiring art complemented by the background music from pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto. Quietly members of parliament intermingled with the art mise en scène. Not to mention the strong Greek following whom all enjoyed the atmosphere and Art .
The honourable Greek Ambassador Mr Haris Dafaranos who kindly travelled from the capital Canberra, was amongst the guests, accompanying his wife Ms Eyvah T.Dafaranos who opened the show with her captivating poem 28 artistic veils of a cryptic message from the soul , personally created to accompany Athena’s , 28 paintings. The art work hung on the walls of the gallery with a minimalist calming effect, transmitting a sense of freshness to the whole ambience of the gallery whilst transcending the viewers to other dimensions of their own interpretations.
The opening night was a huge success considering an electric thunder storm
That occurred just as all the guest were arriving at the gallery.
