Having explored at length the deeper essence of the soul’s journey over the last seven years, I have now entered a new stage of my life and of my painting.
Inspired by the intricate symbiosis of nature, humanity, and the essence of life itself, I am currently delving into an avant-garde realm of artistic exploration. The resultant oeuvre is characterized by meticulously layered, figurative storytelling canvases, enshrouded in delicate gauze and adorned with intricate stitching details. These pieces invite viewers to lose themselves in a visceral experience of emotion, fantasy, and fervor.
“Athena’s oeuvre is as exhilarating and captivating as the masterpieces of the eminent Australian painter Ian Fairweather,” observes Maria Yiakoulis, Sydney’s preeminent world music vocalist.
“Athena Xenakis is an eccentric and mesmerizing artist—her profound emotional intensity is masterfully conveyed through her multifaceted and evocative creations, leaving audiences yearning for more. Athena unequivocally possesses the ability to orchestrate a compelling artistic spectacle,” affirms Eugenie Vrilakis, Art Curator and Consultant.
