Preparation of the work

These artworks traverse a transformative journey through three distinct stages of creation, each transforming the pieces with layers of meaning and complexity. Initially, I embark on the process with the application of paint, establishing the foundational narrative and emotional tone. This phase is a visceral dialogue between the brush and the canvas, where raw creativity flows unrestrained, setting the stage for what is to come.

The second stage, collaging, introduces a deliberate disruption and reconfiguration of the initial painted surface. Here, I meticulously select and integrate diverse materials, creating a rich tapestry of textures and dimensions. This act of collaging not only adds depth and intrigue but also challenges the viewer to reconsider the interplay between the elements, inviting a more nuanced interpretation of my work.

Finally, the culmination of this artistic odyssey is marked by the wrapping of the piece in gauze. This final layer serves as a shroud, simultaneously concealing and revealing the underlying composition. The gauze acts as a metaphorical veil, hinting at the hidden complexities and inviting a deeper contemplation. It is this interplay of obscuration and revelation that imparts a hauntingly ethereal quality to the artwork, compelling the viewer to engage in a continuous exploration of its concealed secrets and inherent beauty.
